The following are broad categories of the services we provide. We acknowledge that everyone needs and desires are different. Our skilled and trained funeral directors and staff are prepared to provide a service that best fits each individual's life. Many of the elements in each category below overlap. Additionally, these are only guidelines for information purposes, and will not limit your ability to create the meaningful and memorable service you desire. As part of our commitment to Uplifting Life Through Service, we punctuate each service with our Uplifting Life Ceremony®. The ceremony is concluded with the releasing of a white dove in their memory. We want every family to walk away feeling hope filled not hopeless. Traditional Funeral Service
Our belief in the sanctity of life enables us to help you create a service that is meaningful, memorable and unique to each family. We offer a funeral service in the "Homegoing Service" tradition that can be held at your family church or at the DeBaptiste Funeral Home Chapel and concludes with burial in a cemetery of your choosing. A traditional service may also be concluded with cremation.
Contemporary Services
Our goal to uplift life through service is highlighted in our ability to create a funeral service that is a unique celebration of life. We combine personal mementos, treasures, photos and customized merchandise to create a setting that is true to the life lived. We strive to provide a service and create an atmosphere that is authentic to each live and evoke the fondest of memories from all who gather to celebrate the life. Thru our creative efforts to uplift life we endeavor to bring comfort and joy to hurting hearts. We encourage you to share your stories and momentous occasions with our funeral director to further enable us to meet your needs and create a truly personalized service.
Secular Services
For those who prefer a non-religious ceremony that speaks to their life, we can assist families in choosing selections to ensure a meaningful ceremony. Through the use of poetry and readings, songs and music we enable you to reflect the individual's life. Our skilled staff is available to participate and help family and friends become active in the ceremony, making the service truly one of a kind.
Memorial Service
A memorial service can incorporate all of the elements of a traditional, contemporary or secular service, however the core difference is that the cremation has taken place, and the body is not present. Often time the cremated remains (ashes, as they are commonly referred) are present in an urn. This urn can be chosen to reflect the essence of the person, and becomes the centerpiece of the memorial service. Memorial services are arranged, as all our services, to be uplifting life through the use of mementos, treasured tokens, family heirlooms, music and song, readings and poetry.
Cremation Options
Many families prefer cremation to burial for religious, ethnic, and financial reasons. Cremation may be combined with any type of funeral or memorial service that is desired by your family. There are many choices when it comes to the final disposition of the cremated remains. We can aid families in the placement of cremated remains in various ways such as burial, above ground entombment, scattering at sea, or with the selection of a decorative full-size, keepsake, miniature or jewelry urn.
Merchandise We are excited to offer an array of customized stationary products such as color programs, prayer cards, bookmarks, register books and thank you cards. In addition we can provide multimedia presentations, framed heirloom photo montages and much more. Other Services
In addition to the many services detailed above we can provide your family with the following services. If a service doesn't appear, please feel free to contact our staff to inquire.
